Atomic emission spectroscopy

My Year 12 Chemistry class are doing an assessment task today but this is what they were finishing up with the other day to round off our Forensic Chemistry module. They were exploring the principles of atomic emission spectroscopy, learning about excitation and emission, fluorescence and phosphorescence.

Here’s a practise question from a past HSC paper that they were working through (annotated with my own markings)
